The problem

Most schools — especially mid-size private institutions and growing networks — still run fee collection on Excel or paper registers: ad-hoc sibling discounts, cash collection with no digital receipting, and no immutable record of who changed what. That's not just inconvenient; it's real legal and reputational exposure the moment a fee dispute or an external audit demands traceability.

The concept

School Management System is scoped as administration and finance first, not curriculum delivery: rules-driven fee calculation with receipts and payment-status tracking, authoritative student enrollment records from admission through graduation, and a full audit trail — actor, timestamp, and before/after context — on every material transaction. It's deliberately kept distinct from pedagogy-focused products like Alpha Nexus, which addresses multi-branch academic operations rather than fee-and-records administration.

How the platform is designed to work

• Fee calculation engine — planned as rules-driven billing covering term-based fees, sibling concessions, and monthly installment patterns common in K–12 markets.
• Student enrollment & profiles — planned as the authoritative record from admission through graduation.
• Full audit trail — planned as an immutable log of every fee adjustment and collection, with actor and timestamp.
• Financial reporting — planned as leadership dashboards for collection rate, arrears, and monthly trends.
• Role-based access control — planned as segregated views for admin, finance, and authorized teaching staff.
